With its mix of heritage building and contemporary design the 16-storey office building at 271 Spring Street was completed in May 2019, providing modern and functional working spaces to the Lonsdale Precinct.
The tower built above the Heritage-listed 1913 Mission Hall and Elms Family Hotel included restoration of the existing building along with non-typical floors, intricate façade, and roof terraces. PSA were engaged in 2017 by ISPT to provide a review of the Contract Programme along with regular monitoring of the Contractors status and assessment of EOT claims. PSA is pleased to have been able to provide identification of key risk areas throughout the construction process based on our extensive experience in both heritage-listed environments and inner-city, high rise office towers.
The building and integrated fitout was delivered on schedule by Contractor ProBuild – this was critical to allow the major tenant, Australian Unity, to move in. PSA congratulates the Project Team and Contractor on their successful completion of these complex works within the heart of Melbourne.
