PSA are pleased to be providing professional services for feasibility studies for several state government projects. As part of business case developments, strategy and outcomes have been tested to determine what could be feasibly completed within a complex operating environment. This informed senior management as to how other facilities could be managed to meet the demands within their overall program until the new capacity was ready to go live. All of which builds on PSA’s reputation for being able to provide such a valued service.
Late in 2017, we supported Development Victoria in its redevelopment of the State Netball & Hockey Centre, in Parkville, originally built for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The current redevelopment includes provision of more courts, a high performance centre and an indoor hockey centre. With the concept design having now been agreed with stakeholders, a contractor has been engaged to enable works to commence in 2019 and to be completed in early 2021. PSA has a long history of working on sporting precincts, since the late 80s from the MCG’s Southern then Northern Stands redevelopments, construction of Marvel and AAMI stadiums through to the current works on Melbourne Park, Traralgon Sports Stadium & Kardinia Park in Geelong.
